Strong writers don't need someone standing over them — they need a professional who knows what admissions readers reward, catching what a parent, teacher, or friend can't. Our editors are admissions-trained experts who know precisely what top-school readers look for.
What counts as an edit
1 edit = 1 essay (one prompt), up to 650 words, reviewed once — with tracked changes and a recorded video walkthrough.
Tiny essays of 150 words or under? Submit two together as a single edit. Essays over 650 words count as two. Resubmitting a revised draft uses a new edit — most essays take 3–5 passes to reach their strongest version, and that's exactly what the packs are sized for.
The investment
Size by your list: the personal statement alone usually takes 3–5 rounds. Start with 10 edits and add more anytime — there are no packs to choose between.
The fine print, in plain English
Questions families ask
Each prompt gets its own full pass, whatever its length. You're not paying by the word — you're paying for an expert read of one essay: prompt strategy, structure, and whether the story fits the rest of the application, plus the recorded video. A 350-word PIQ carries more strategy per word than most long essays. (Truly tiny essays — 150 words or under — do pair up, two per edit.)
The clock starts when your student submits and runs on business days — so weekends and holidays don't count. Most families use the rhythm to their advantage: submit, revise while it's in review, resubmit.
Add more edits anytime — your balance just grows, and everything stays valid through February 15, 2027. Need only one or two? Singles are $200 each.
Then this isn't the right program — and we'll tell you that honestly. Ask your advisor about Senior Live Sessions, where the writing happens live on a call with a coach. Edit Packs are for students who draft on their own.
Your advisor can size the right pack for your college list and have your student's dedicated editor assigned within days.
